Distant Music: by James McLindon (2007), Directed by Suzanne Mackay BURLINGTON, VT

Starring: KEEFE HEALY, MELISSA HAM-ELLIS AND KEVIN CHRISTOPHER

"In Distant Music, McLindon places a trinity of characters in a Cambridge, Massachusetts, pub on a theologically significant evening. It’s a premise that could become a leaden talkfest, but McLindon gives his cheeky characters both witty wordplay and meaningful personal issues to resolve. This charming play makes its Vermont premiere in Firefly’s simply staged production, directed by Suzanne Mackay.." "Skilled playwrights and talented actors etch your consciousness and keep your mind whirring long after the curtain falls. McLindon’s play and Christopher’s performance got me thinking about this." Seven Days

Budapest Kiseret: by Keefe Healy (2006) Music by Bret Lanier, Directed by Suzanne Mackay EDINBURGH SCOTLAND

Starring: KEEFE HEALY, JORDAN GULLIKSON, GENEVRA MACPHAIL

"Firefly Theatre from Vermont, run by husband- and-wife team, writer Keefe Healy and director Suzanne Mackay, celebrate their tenth anniversary this summer, and Budapest Kiseret, their eleventh production on the Fringe, is an atmospheric, stylish...peice of theatre." Scotsman

"The lone traveller heading for a city he never meant to see, racing for the locomotive he doesn’t know is his, and finding himself on a night train he’d wish he never caught. Fringe veterans Firefly return with a thoughtful production that questions chance, fate, and the reasons for our choices." **** The List (Edinburgh)

G-City Monologues: by Keefe Healy (2005/06) Music and lyrics by Jordan Gullikson, Directed by Suzanne Mackay EDINBURGH SCOTLAND

Starring: JORDAN GULLIKSON, SUZANNE MACKAY, GENEVRA MACPHAIL, LUCAS MILLER/STEVE DODGE

"G-City Monologues is a sharp, witty and humorous production. The Jokester, played by Jordan Gullikson, steals the show with his wonderfully evil persona; he entertains the audience with his card tricks and quick humor. Suzanne Mackay is the Tigress, who manages to whip the audience into a frenzy with her seductive charm and demeanor. After each character has delivered their monologue, they are frozen as if time has stopped, leaving their shell behind. This is an excellent new show, which incorporates all the elements that make it a classic Fringe experience."**** Three Weeks

Between the Quiet Poles by Keefe Healy (2004) Original Score and Sound Design by Jordan Gullikson, Directed by Suzanne Mackay EDINBURGH SCOTLAND

Starring: THOMAS DUBEE, JOSEPH GRABON, SARAH HORDOF, MELANIE LUCIER, JOHANNA MACRI, GENEVRA MACPHAIL, LAUREN MARTIN, DENNIS MCSORLEY, DENNIS SMITH

"Director Suzanne Mackay- along with a fine cast of actors and a heavily utilized sound designer (Jordan Gullikson) had prepared a compelling piece of theater with an undeniably sinister feel ...gritty and fearless." Seven Days

" Hell on earth is a seedy strip-tease club where Faustus/Jack becomes the musical icon he once dreamed of being. Yet he begins to find the adulation and demands of adoring audiences unbearable. Entranced by a woman he tries to save from the consequences of on-stage protest". "Firefly has created a worthwhile ensemble piece.. one which deserves an audience." EdinburghGuide.com

Cooking Show by Jordan Gullikson (2003) Directed by Jordan Gullikson BURLINGTON, VT

Starring: STEVE DODGE, CYNTHIS FOSTER, JORDAN GULLIKSON, KEEFE HEALY, ROBERT J. LISAIUS, JAMES REID

"Jordan Gullikson's new comedy is a mix of "Saturday Night Live" and Monty Python. It's silly and superficial farce, but, most of all, it's funny. The plot, not that it really matters, follows two young British actors, Dalton and Dagmar, as they look for their big break....Gullikson played Dalton, while Keefe Healy, another playwright, was Dagmar. Both created truly comic characters, with Gullikson playing the relatively straight role to Healy's daft one. .. Dalton has found a possibility for them on a celebrity cooking show, but somehow they must convince the producer that they are celebrities. ... the writing, like the acting remains consistently funny. Of course, there's no point - but who cares? Times Argus

"The acting is combined with haunting siren song, veiled dancing and drums to create a dreamy powerful piece of theatre that will move you as sure as the tides move the ocean" **** The Scotsman (Edinburgh)

"....the simple staging is brilliantly effective..Atmospheric and symbolic." **** Three Weeks (Edinburgh)

Dennis McSorley was nominated for best actor at the Brighton Fringe Festival for his portrayal of Locke, the part originally played by Jordan Gullikson in Edinburgh.

Dogs of War by Keefe Healy, (2001) Directed by Suzanne Mackay EDINBURGH SCOTLAND

Starring: MELLISA HAM-ELLIS, DENNIS MCSORLEY, DENNIS SMITH

"What would have happened if God had been a colonel with Adam and Eve his contingent soldier?...This intriguing rewriting of the Christian Creation myth takes place in a post apocolyptic shelter where the two soldiers are being drilled for a final defiance against an unknown enemy. However, the power struggles between the three characters are ultimately a multidemensional examination of gender, emotion and instinct. ..Healy creates a powerful atmosphere in his play through the shifting of character's status and highly dramatic action...an accomplished piece and probably one of the most intriguing examples of American drama at the Fringe." The Stage (London's Theatrical Newspaper)

Crooked by Keefe Healy (2000), Choreography by Lois Trombley, Music by Spencer Blackwell & Craig Meyers, Directed by Suzanne Mackay EDINBURGH SCOTLAND

Starring: JASON ARGENTO, MELANIE BELL, THOMAS DUBEE, KEEFE HEALY, SUZANNE MACKAY, BOB MARTIN, MEGAN MULRY, DENNIS SMITH, KEN ST LOUIS, LOIS TROMBLEY, PHIL WILLS

"The drummers drum and dancers dance and Tink is still hopelessly attached to Peter. This is a very intelligent and enjoyable reworking of the plot of Peter Pan by cast member Keefe Healy. With interesting insights into why Peter and his friends, Nibs, Tootles and Slightly, aided and hindered by Tigerlily and Tink, scrap with Hook and Smee endlessly....all goes pear shaped. Even the Magic Dust, which has got addictive, doesn't quite save the day.". EdinbughGuide.com

"They are confidently talented and the production is slick" "Crooked is genuinely thought provoking about those who fall through society's net." The Scotsman

Charlie Chaplin is Wearing my Pants: by Keefe Healy (1999), Music by Jason Argento, Directed by Suzanne Mackay EDINBURGH SCOTLAND

Starring: MELANIE BELL, JESSAMYN FIORE, CULLEN JOHNSON, KEEFE HEALY, SUZANNE MACKAY, BOB MARTIN, CHAD PETERS, DENNIS SMITH

"No, this is not a play about Chaplin's hitherto unreported knicker-snatching habit; in fact it is not about him at all. It's actually the story of Fatty Arbucke, the sighlent comedian best remembered for being involved in Hollywoods first scandle. Accused of raping a girl to death, he went from being a universally loved star to publically and professionally reviled monster practically overnight. This exploration of his life is sensitively handled by the young all-American cast, with outstanding performances all around. Informative, entertaining and moving...what more could you ask for?" **** The List
